Stock that matches the books

Goods received, transfers between branches, and sales all post to the ledger as they happen. The stock value on the balance sheet is the stock you actually hold, not a figure typed in at month end.

The details retail actually needs

Barcodes, supplier part numbers, minimum order quantities, batches with expiry dates, and purchase prices per supplier so margin is calculated rather than guessed. Expired batches stop being sellable without anyone remembering to check.

More than one branch

Locations are first-class: stock per branch, transfers between them, and one consolidated view. Adding a second shop does not mean a second system.
